About us

EDuGIFT is a UK-based organisation which has one simple aim – to help schools make their budgets go further so that they can provide the best education and activities for their pupils.

We do this by providing a platform through which schools can let their community know about items they would like to acquire that they might not ordinarily buy from their allocated budget.  Items can then be bought, sourced or donated by the community, and then delivered to the school.

EDuGIFT is different to other fundraising websites which usually rely on a large number of small financial donations which build up over time.  Our platform allows schools to request very specific items – they’re not asking for money which disappears into a black hole.  People can see exactly what they’re buying and who they’re buying it for.

The best way to describe us would be as a volunteer-run community platform. We don’t handle donations, funds, or goods, and we’re not a registered charity.

We’re not a marketplace either, so you can’t buy items for schools here – you’ll need to source them from shops or online stores.

You don’t need to create an account on our site to donate to your school either.  Just see what they want and let them know you’re going to get it.
